Born in Paris to Coco Mignon, a rare beauty of questionable breeding, Pascal’s earliest days were spent as a Parisian, where he was affectionally nicknamed “Petit Filet Mignon” as a young Pup by his Maman. Coco worked as a Fluff Girl at the Moulin Rouge and part-time model for Couture Boutiques on the Champs Elysee’s. Although life was fun and glamorous for Pascal and Coco in Paris, there were some nagging questions as to Pascal’s paternity. Rex Hamilton, a pure bred Boston Terrier of perfect lineage from Wellesley, Mass. eventually won a long court battle proving his paternity of “Petit Filet Mignon”… Once this was decided Pascal moved to Wellesley with his father to explore his American roots.
Pascal was happy to embrace his New England side although he felt different from many in his father’s social circles. Pascal endured ridicule from others at the Boston Kennel Club because of his heavy French accent…often called “Froggy” or “French Fry”. Although Pascal enjoyed yachting off Martha’s Vineyard and vacations at his father’s beach house on Nantucket…Pascal felt he didn’t quite belong.
Upon moving to Greenwich Village in NYC, Pascal was able to utilize his rugged all-American good looks and French charm to work his way into the Art Community he had grown to love as a Pup in Paris. His Bohemian soul reveled in the heady atmosphere of the fashion houses and art “salons”. Shortly after arriving in the city he met Morgan Bacall, the well known Clothing Designer and accomplished Artist, and Voila… his life was transformed once again.
Pascal began to travel the world with Morgan and was able to greatly contribute in choosing unique and exotic artisan trinkets they found along their travels (he was always partial to “feathery” items, perhaps a reminder of his hunter roots). Today Pascal resides between his west coast Malibu beach house and his SoHo loft in NYC. Pascal now consults for and advises his many friends, as his bohemian lifestyle has given him a wealth of knowledge regarding relationships, family advice and fashion tips. Please feel free to write and ASK PASCAL anything on your mind…you will always receive a dosage of his unique take on life and “looks”. He adores his work as Stylist and Art Director for this website, as well as all-around sage.
